In every state with a paid sick leave law, sick time is earned by the hour worked - most often one hour for every 30. Dancers on the payroll, bartenders, door staff and part-timers all earn it. Enter each week's hours; Sickbay does the rest.
About twenty states and DC require paid sick leave. The common rule is one hour per 30 worked up to 40 hours a year, but it varies: New York and Alaska allow up to 56 at larger employers, Michigan 72, New Mexico 64, Colorado 48; California caps the balance at 80 and use at 40 a year; some states only require it above a size (Nevada at 50, Rhode Island at 18). Missouri's law was repealed in 2025. Sickbay carries each state's rule as published for 2026 - check your own state's law before relying on it.
