Candor Review & Testimonial Check (FTC rule)
For adult stores and sites that show reviews or testimonials

Every fake review is a separate fine.

Candor checks every review before it goes up - a real order behind it, no AI, insiders disclosed, nothing given for a good word - refuses to take one down for being negative, and refuses any purchase of bot followers or views.

Opens in this browser with an invented store's reviews already in it. No account, no email address, nothing installed. Never holds a reviewer's name, email or card.

The problem

A partner's five stars. A hidden one-star.

Since October 2024 the FTC bans fake and AI reviews, undisclosed staff and family reviews, reviews bought for a good word, suppressing negative reviews and buying fake followers - at about $51,744 for each violation.

$51,744

the civil penalty for each violation of the FTC's review rule.

Fake followers

buying bot or hijacked-account followers and views is banned too.

Will not put up a review it cannot stand behind.

Not a reminder. A review is refused without a real order, if AI-written, from an undisclosed insider, or bought for a good word. Taking one down for being negative is refused. Buying bot followers is refused. Nothing is deleted.

How it works

Check, show, keep

Check each review

A real order, a real customer, nothing bought.

Take down only for cause

Never for its stars.

Push to real people

Never bots or fake accounts.

What it will never do

It keeps the checks. Never the reviewer.

Candor holds review IDs, orders and answers, nothing more.

No reviewer names.Reviews by ID and order only.
No emails. There is no field for one.
No cards.It touches no payment.
It is not legal advice. The FTC rule and counsel are the reference.

Questions

The ones we actually get asked

Can staff leave reviews?

Only if the review says plainly who wrote it.

Can we give a discount for reviews?

For any honest review, yes. Only for good ones, no - that is buying a sentiment.

Can we remove a bad review?

Only for a reason the rule allows - harassing, unlawful, unrelated, false - never for its stars.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is the check and the record.

What do I actually get when I pay?

The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, on your screen as soon as the payment confirms: the checkout brings you back to our thank-you page, you type your business name and the key appears. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.

The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.

Open the demo and try to hide a bad review

An invented store has five reviews - try taking down the two-star one for being negative.
