Larimer Denver Occupational Privilege Tax
For performers and creators working in Denver

Four dollars a month. Every month you work in Denver.

Larimer works out which share of Denver's occupational privilege tax applies to you, keeps each month you worked in the city, and files nothing short - every return's period, due date and payment kept.

Opens in this browser with an invented dancer already in it. No account, no email address, nothing installed. Never holds a Social Security number, a tax account login or a bank account.

The problem

Small sums are the easy ones to miss.

Denver charges a monthly tax whenever work is done in the city. Working for yourself, you owe the $4 business share as the owner, whatever you earned that month - and $5.75 plus $4 more for anyone you pay $500 or more. Miss a return and the penalty outgrows the tax.

$4

a month, the business share every owner owes for working in Denver - even below $500.

Denver Treasury →
$5.75

a month withheld from anyone paid $500 or more in a month for work in Denver.

Patriot Software →
Per owner

the business share is owed per qualifying employee and per owner, based on where the work is done.

Mosey →

Will not let a return go in short.

Not a reminder. A month is refused before it is over or twice. A return is refused before its period ends, twice, with a month in it not logged, or paid short of what its months make due - and one filed late says so. Rates are refused without a source. Nothing is deleted.

Questions

The ones we actually get asked

I dance at clubs in Denver as an independent contractor. Do I owe it?

Working for yourself, you are the owner: $4 for each month you work in Denver. If a club pays you as an employee, $500 or more in a month, it withholds $5.75 instead.

I only earned a little this month.

The owner's share has no earnings minimum - any work in Denver that month counts.

What if the amounts change?

Put in the new ones with their source. Every month keeps the rate it was logged at.

Is this tax advice?

No. It is the arithmetic and the record.

What do I actually get when I pay?

The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, on your screen as soon as the payment confirms: the checkout brings you back to our thank-you page, you type your business name and the key appears. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.

The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.

Open the demo and file the last quarter
