Safehold Workplace Violence Prevention Plan
For California clubs and adult retail stores

Every incident at the door. Every one in the log.

Safehold keeps the written workplace violence prevention plan, the incident log with no names in it, the yearly training with a live Q&A, and the reviews after every incident - and refuses any of them short of what the law asks.

Opens in this browser with an invented club already in it. No account, no email address, nothing installed. Never holds a customer's, victim's or attacker's identity, a camera feed or a Social Security number.

The problem

The door sees it most weekends.

Since July 2024 a California club or adult store open to the public keeps a written plan, logs every threat or act of violence without names, trains every year with a live Q&A, and reviews the plan after every incident.

July 2024

SB 553 took effect for nearly every California employer.

5 years

the violent incident log is kept - with no personal identifying information.

Every year

training with an interactive Q&A, and a review of the plan.

Haynes Boone →

Will not keep a log with names in it.

Not a reminder. The plan is refused short of a required part. An incident is refused missing a field or carrying a name, phone number, email or ID number. A training is refused without the live Q&A, every topic, the trainer and the attendees. Nothing is deleted. There is no override.

How it works

Plan, log, train

Adopt the plan

Who is responsible, and every procedure the law lists.

Log every incident

By type, with no names - then review the plan.

Train every year

With a live Q&A, and again when the plan changes.

What it will never do

It keeps the record. Never the people.

Safehold holds the plan, a nameless log and training records, nothing more.

No customer names. The log is by type, not by person.
No camera feeds.Nothing is uploaded.
No Social Security numbers.Attendees are names and job titles only.
It is not legal advice.Cal/OSHA's model plan is the reference.

Questions

The ones we actually get asked

We are a small adult store. Are we exempt?

Only if you are not open to the public and have fewer than 10 employees on site. A store open to customers is covered.

Why can't I put the customer's name in the log?

The law says the log leaves out personal identifying information. Safehold refuses an entry that looks like it carries some.

Does a video count as training?

Only with an interactive question-and-answer with someone who knows the plan.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is the record and the gates.

What do I actually get when I pay?

The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, on your screen as soon as the payment confirms: the checkout brings you back to our thank-you page, you type your business name and the key appears. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.

The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.
