Tapster tracks every server's and manager's Responsible Beverage Service certificate - the 60 days a new hire has, the 30-day exam window, the three-year renewal - and will not put anyone on a bar shift who may not serve on that date.

The problem
Since 1 July 2022 every alcohol server and manager at a California on-sale venue holds an RBS certificate: 60 days from a new hire's first day, the exam within 30 days of training, renewed every three years. The first certificates are now running out.
Not a reminder. A bar shift refuses anyone who, on that date, has no certificate in force and is past 60 days from their first day - and checks a shift next month against next month, so a certificate running out blocks it now. A certificate is recorded only with an exam inside 30 days of the training. There is no override.
How it works
Their first day starts the 60 days.
Training, exam and number. It runs three years.
Only on the dates they may serve.
What it will never do
Tapster holds names, roles, dates and certificate numbers.
Pricing
For one venue.
Every server, every shift.
Monthly, per venue. Your bank statement says Tapster Software. Your licence key is on your screen as soon as the payment confirms.
Pay by card through Square, on Square’s own checkout page — we never see or store your card number. Or pay with bitcoin through our own bitcoin server. Either way you come back here, type your business name, and your licence key is on the screen — no email, no waiting on us.
Questions
Yes. It belongs to the person. Record its dates and it counts here.
Anyone who checks IDs, takes drink orders, pours or delivers drinks, and their managers.
No. It is the record and the gate in front of the bar rota.
The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, on your screen as soon as the payment confirms: the checkout brings you back to our thank-you page, you type your business name and the key appears. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.
The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.
One server is past 60 days with no certificate, one certificate has run out, and one is inside its renewal window.
