Barker keeps each customer's written consent and the wording they signed, every STOP, and every send - and will not approve a promotion outside 8am to 8pm, past three in 24 hours, or to anyone it may not reach.
Opens in this browser with an invented club already in it. No account, no email address, nothing installed. Last four digits only, and it sends nothing.
The problem
Florida's Telephone Solicitation Act wants prior express written consent for automated promotional texts, keeps them between 8am and 8pm, and caps them at three a person in 24 hours - $500 a violation, $1,500 if willful. Every text is a violation of its own.
Not a reminder. Approve refuses, naming each recipient and why, when the time is outside 8am to 8pm, or anyone on it has no written consent, signed up under wording that lacks an element, texted STOP, or already has three promotions inside 24 hours. Drop the blocked recipients and it approves. There is no override.
How it works
Each version, with the elements written consent needs.
Who signed up, under which wording, and every STOP.
Inside the hours, to people who may be texted, three a day at most.
What it will never do
Barker holds a reference and the last four digits, nothing more.
Pricing
For one venue.
Every consent, every send.
Monthly, per venue. Your bank statement says Barker Software. Your licence key is on your screen as soon as the payment confirms.
Pay by card through Square, on Square’s own checkout page — we never see or store your card number. Or pay with bitcoin through our own bitcoin server. Either way you come back here, type your business name, and your licence key is on the screen — no email, no waiting on us.
Questions
No. Your texting service does. Barker is the check you run before it.
A signed agreement - an electronic signature counts - that names you, authorises automated texts to that number, and says it is not a condition of purchase.
No. It is the record and the gate in front of a send.
The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, on your screen as soon as the payment confirms: the checkout brings you back to our thank-you page, you type your business name and the key appears. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.
The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.
A 9:30pm send to six people, and four of them should never get it.
