Kalends puts your LLC's four California deadlines on one calendar - the annual tax, the LLC fee, Form 568 and the Statement of Information - shows in dollars what each costs once it is late, and will not call anything done without a confirmation number.
Opens in this browser with an invented LLC already in it. No account, no email address, nothing installed. Never holds a tax return, a bank login or a Social Security number.
The problem
The Franchise Tax Board wants the $800 by April 15 and Form 568 by March or April; the Secretary of State wants the Statement of Information every other year in a six-month window. Each one missed has its own penalty, and nobody sends a reminder.
Not a reminder. Done refuses a filing with no confirmation number or a date that has not happened, and a Statement of Information dated before the Secretary of State will take it. Close the year refuses while anything in that year is not done. A closed year stays closed. There is no override.
How it works
The date it was formed, single or multi-member, and its California income band.
Kalends works out the year's filings and their real due dates.
Each done with its confirmation number; the year closes when all of them are.
What it will never do
Kalends holds dates, amounts and confirmation numbers, nothing more.
Pricing
For one LLC.
Every California filing, every year.
Monthly, per LLC. Your bank statement says Kalends Software. Your licence key is on your screen as soon as the payment confirms.
Pay by card through Square, on Square’s own checkout page — we never see or store your card number. Or pay with bitcoin through our own bitcoin server. Either way you come back here, type your business name, and your licence key is on the screen — no email, no waiting on us.
Questions
Yes. The $800 annual tax is due every year until the LLC is cancelled, even if it did no business.
Both. Form 568 is due a month earlier for an LLC taxed as a partnership, and the late penalty counts every member.
No. It keeps the dates, amounts and confirmation numbers, and refuses to call anything done without one.
No. It is the calendar and the gates in front of calling a filing done.
The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, on your screen as soon as the payment confirms: the checkout brings you back to our thank-you page, you type your business name and the key appears. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.
The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.
An invented two-member LLC is still carrying a Form 568 from the year before last, $18 a member for every month it sat.
