Primer Harassment Training File
For New York clubs and adult venues with employees

Every year, in their language.

Primer keeps each employee's interactive harassment-prevention training and every written policy notice - at hire and at each training, in English and their primary language - and will not sign a year off while anyone employed in it is missing either.

The problem

Any size, every employee, every year.

New York Labor Law 201-g asks every employer, of any size, for interactive sexual harassment prevention training every year, and a written notice of the policy at hire and at each training - in English and the employee's own language where the state publishes one.

Every year

interactive training for all employees.

NY Labor Law 201-g →
Twice over

the written notice at hire and again at every training.

NY Labor Law 201-g →
Any size

the rule applies to every employer, however small.

NY Labor Law 201-g →

Will not sign a year with a gap in it.

Not a reminder. Sign the year refuses, naming the person, while anyone employed in it had no interactive training that year, got no notice on the day of a training, got no notice at hire, or got a notice without their language. A signed year is frozen. There is no override.

How it works

Hire, train, sign

Add each employee

Their primary language decides which copies of the notice they are owed.

Log trainings and notices

The interactive training, and the notice handed over that day, in each language.

Sign the year

Only when everyone in it is complete. Then it is frozen.

What it will never do

It keeps the record. It does not train.

Primer holds names, languages and dates, nothing more.

It runs no training.Use the state's model or your own; Primer records it.
It writes no policy. It records the notice you handed over and in which languages.
It does not pick the languages. The state's template list is in Setup for you to keep current.
It is not legal advice. It is the record and the gate.

Questions

The ones we actually get asked

Which languages does a notice need?

English always, plus the employee's primary language when New York publishes the model notice in it.

What about Illinois?

Illinois has its own program in this family, Briefing. Primer is the New York file.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is the record and the gate in front of signing the year.

What do I actually get when I pay?

The demo on this page is the whole program, running on invented records. Paying gets you a licence key — one line of text, on your screen as soon as the payment confirms: the checkout brings you back to our thank-you page, you type your business name and the key appears. Paste it into the program and from then on it keeps your own records. Until then, nothing you type into it is kept.

The key is checked inside the page, on your own machine. It never calls us, so there is still no account and nothing about your business goes anywhere. If you ever stop paying, your records stay exactly where they are, read-only, and Export still hands you every one of them.

Open the demo before the year closes

One employee's training notice went out in English only, and one new hire never got the notice at hire.
